Lingard nets hat-trick, Buffaloes better Wolf Pack
Calgary, AB – Brodie Lingard scored a hat-trick including his 12th goal of the season with 3:00 remaining in the third period and and added an assist to help support the Buffaloes in an 8-7 victory over the Wolf Pack at Ernie Starr on Sunday.
Adding markers for the Buffaloes was Victor Bakala with two goals, Jay Reid and TJ Smith and Robyn Carson with a goal each. Smith, Reid and Dean Davies each added two assists. Goaltender Jon Kalkman picked up the victory for the Buffaloes giving up seven goals.
Scoring for the Wolf Pack was Matt Price with two goals and Tyler Storozuk, Dan Tall, Andrew Kempster, James Blair and Cody Carey each with single strikes. Storozuk added four assists, Price and Tall each added two assists. Goaltender Brent Lauinger surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Wolf Pack.
With the victory, the Buffaloes improve to 8-19-4-0 while the Wolf Pack fall to 16-13-2-0.
