Abbott nets hat-trick, Kings romp Buffaloes
Calgary, AB – Charles Abbott scored a hat-trick and added three assists to help fuel the Kings to an 8-3 pounding over the Buffaloes at Village Square on Saturday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Kings was Dave Watt with two goals, Derek Bishop and Rory Dawson and Regan Yeager each adding single tallies. Abbott, Watt and Gord Matheson each added three assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm picked up the win for the Kings giving up three goals.
The scoring contribution for the Buffaloes was Victor Bakala with a hat-trick. Robyn Carson added two assists. Goaltender Jeff Karren surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Buffaloes.
With the win, the Kings improve to 11-15-2-0 while the Buffaloes fall to 7-19-2-0.
