Calgary, AB – Rory Shott scored two goals and added an assist to help the IceCats to an 8-6 win over the Ice Goats at George Blundun on Saturday.

Also scoring for the IceCats was Nick Mcknight and Blaine McIntosh with a pair of goals each, Matt Dawe and Jason Nugent each adding a goal. Dawe, Jeff Frederick and Matt Paterson each added two assists. Goaltender Darryl Leray picked up the win for the IceCats giving up six goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Ice Goats was Shaun Hunter with two goals and Cole Brewis, Steve Barker, Zachary Duncan and Jeff Mikalishen with a goal each. Brandon Kiist added three assists, Graydon Ahern, Tim Robinson and Brady Coady each added two assists. Goaltender Sean Beauparlant surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Ice Goats.

Shott deposited his sixth of the season into an empty net with 0:23 left in the third period to seal the win for the IceCats.

With the win, the IceCats improve to 8-12-1-0 while the Ice Goats fall to 6-11-4-0.
