Calgary, AB – Dan Warkentin scored a hat-trick and added an assist as the Goldenhawks extended their winning streak to 12 games with a 9-7 triumph over the Ducks 1 at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Goldenhawks was Kurt Thorner with two goals, Tyson Smith and Cole Percifield, Jaime Clague and Austin Smith chipping in with singles. Darren Schurman and Cory Fraser each added three assists and Marco Bernardo added two assists. Goaltender Nik Bregeda picked up the victory for the Goldenhawks giving up seven goals.

Finding the twine for the Ducks 1 was Solomon McCann with a hat-trick, Mitch Ferguson with two goals and Brody Hailwood and Kelton Sutherland chipping in with a goal each. Ferguson added two assists. Goaltender Alex Derry surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Ducks 1.

The loss snuffed out the Ducks 1's six-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Goldenhawks improve to 23-7-1-0 while the Ducks 1 fall to 22-7-2-0.
