Calgary, AB – John Helfrich* scored two goals including his 37th goal of the season with 11:53 remaining in the third period and as the Icecats extended their winning streak to three games with a 4-3 triumph over the Icehogs at Village Square on Saturday.

Completing the scoring for for the Icecats was Rob Walker* and Shawn Morgan* chipping in with singles. Walker*, Morgan* and Kelly Stoodley* each added two assists. Goaltender Larry Guilloux* picked up the victory for the Icecats giving up 0 goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Icehogs was Shaun Wyzykoski with two goals and Mike Tanton* with a single marker. Tanton* and Blaine Dobinson* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tansowny surrendered four goals in the loss for the Icehogs.

The loss snuffed out the Icehogs' three-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Icecats improve to 21-3-3-0 while the Icehogs fall to 18-6-2-0.
