Calgary, AB – Ziad Taha scored a hat-trick to lead the Wolves to an 8-4 whipping over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Frank McCool on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Wolves was Ryan Bennato with two goals, Spencer Dumont and Rob Conrad and Matt Crockett chipping in with singles. Travis Hodges added three assists, Trevor Sorge, Derek Graham and Brad Demsky each added two assists. Goaltender Eric Penosky picked up the victory for the Wolves giving up four goals.

Finding the twine for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Ben Sherman with two goals and Scott Bishop and Trevor Ceccanesse chipping in with a goal each. Bishop added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the victory, the Wolves improve to 13-8-0-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 10-9-2-0.
