Calgary, AB – Lance Nixon scored a goal and added two assists for the Tailgaters and Preston Yachimec scored two goals for the Hopewell Hurricanes as the teams played to a 4-4 tie at Optimist on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Trevor Ceccanesse and Tom Collister each contributing with single markers. Paul Taylor added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst surrendered four goals in the tie for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

Completing the scoring for for the Tailgaters was Boyd Crockett, Tristan Janusc and Derek Sharp chipping in with singles. Nixon added two assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison gave up four goals in the tie for the Tailgaters.

After the tie, the Tailgaters have a record of 3-4-2-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes move to 6-2-1-0.
