Calgary, AB – Casey Wheatley* scored two goals and added an assist to help lift the Panthers to an 8-4 pounding over the Icemen at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Adding markers for the Panthers was Terrence McLeod* and Dave Tadros* with a pair of goals each, Andrew Fox* and Dean Setoguchi* each adding single goals. Jason Martschuk* added three assists and Mike Leslie* added two assists. Goaltender Jason Molloy picked up the victory for the Panthers giving up 0 goals.

The victory extinguished the Panthers' three-game losing streak.

Scoring for the Icemen was Darcy Hrycauk with two goals and Sean Jozsa and Gord MacLean each with single strikes. Chuck Peffers added two assists. Goaltender Travis Copp surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Icemen.

With the victory, the Panthers improve to 15-7-1-0 while the Icemen fall to 6-16-0-0.
