Calgary, AB – Brad Slomp* scored a goal and added two assists to help bring the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 5-3 triumph over the Flying Elbows at Village Square on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Ryan Miller, Matt Thibault*, Andy Keats*, John Doyle* chipping in with singles. Slomp* added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up three goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Flying Elbows was Eric Nerbas* with two goals and Kyle Christensen* with a single marker. Goaltender Allan Manz* surrendered five goals in the loss for the Flying Elbows.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 4-21-1-0 while the Flying Elbows fall to 11-12-3-0.
