Nunweiler* nets hat-trick, Schooners better Slashers
Calgary, AB – Cody Nunweiler* scored a hat-trick and added two assists to help support the Schooners in a 7-4 victory over the Slashers at Optimist on Saturday.
Adding markers for the Schooners was Jamie Prior* and Wade Snook*, J Wenzel and Hardy Wollin each with single strikes. Goaltender Brad Lowe* picked up the victory for the Schooners giving up four goals.
The win snapped the Schooners' three-game losing skid.
Scoring for the Slashers was Ryan Tuck* with two goals and Josh Pearce* and Tyler Patterson with a goal each. David Gyger* added two assists. Goaltender Ckinton Mawhinney surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Slashers.
With the victory, the Schooners improve to 11-11-2-0 while the Slashers fall to 10-13-2-0.
