Calgary, AB – Matt Thesien* scored four goals and added three assists to help fuel the Warthogs to a 10-4 pounding over the Sofa Kings at Village Square on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Warthogs was Tyler Whiteside and Jared Veness* with a pair of goals each and Jordan Thornley* and Shane Blach* chipping in with a goal each. Whiteside added four assists, Thornley* added two assists. Goaltender Shaun McKenzie* picked up the win for the Warthogs giving up four goals.

The win snapped the Warthogs' three-game losing skid.

Striking for the Sofa Kings was Tommy Hrazdira* with two goals and Adam MacLean* and Regan Yeager* with a goal each. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the Sofa Kings.

The setback halted the Sofa Kings' three-game winning streak.

With the win, the Warthogs improve to 11-10-2-0 while the Sofa Kings fall to 15-6-3-0.
