Calgary, AB – Lance Nixon* scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Tailgaters to a 7-1 whipping over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Rose Kohn on Thursday.

Completing the scoring for for the Tailgaters was Ryan Bohay* with two goalsMatt Dawe*, Logan Harris*, Brian Hogg*, Trevor Chown* chipping in with a goal each. Dawe*, Harris*, Ben Bleakley*. Goaltender Todd Bettison* picked up the victory for the Tailgaters holding the Hopewell Hurricanes to a single goal.

Tallying the single marker for the Hopewell Hurricanes was and Darren Davies, his first of the season. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the victory, the Tailgaters improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 0-2-0-0.
