Calgary, AB – Caleb Pierce scored a hat-trick to help the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 5-1 spanking over the Tailgaters at Optimist on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andy Keats* and Reid Miller with a goal each. Brad Slomp* added two assists. Goaltender Taylor Dias picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes holding the Tailgaters to a single goal.

The victory extinguished the Hopewell Hurricanes' nine-game losing streak.

Scoring the lone goal for the Tailgaters was and Ben Bleakley*, his 13th of the season. Goaltender Darren Carmicheal surrendered five goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 2-13-0-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 9-5-2-0.
