Stiz* nets pair, Sofa Kings comeback to get past Panthers
Calgary, AB – Lucas Long* scored his second goal of the season with 2:16 remaining in the third period and Reto Stiz* scored two goals and added an assist to fuel the Sofa Kings erased a three-goal deficit and to an 8-7 conquest over the Panthers at Father David Bauer on Monday.
Capping off the scoring for the Sofa Kings was Adam MacLean* and Regan Yeager* with a pair of goals each, Trevor Burke * with a single tally. Brandon Long* added three assists, Tommy Hrazdira*. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * picked up the win for the Sofa Kings giving up seven goals.
Sniping for the Panthers was Conlan Seder* with a hat-trick and Matt Bucholz*, Sandy Quilty*, Ken Kornylo* and Scott Coe* contributing with a goal each. Bucholz* added four assists, Andrew Fox* and Mike Juhasz* each added two assists. Goaltender Doug Lavers* surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Panthers.
The Sofa Kings jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Burke * scored his first of the season with 15:22 left in the first period but Seder* responded for the Panthers with his first of the season to start the rally.
With the win, the Sofa Kings improve to 2-0-0-0 while the Panthers fall to 1-1-0-0.
