Calgary, AB – Jim Gagnon* scored a hat-trick as the Melrose Cafe extended its winning streak to four games with a 9-6 conquest over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Melrose Cafe was Jeff Golby* and Chris Trudel* with a pair of goals each and Simon DiMarzo* and Jay Brown* contributing with a goal each. Golby* added two assists. Goaltender Quinn Morettin* picked up the win for the Melrose Cafe giving up 0 goals.

Sniping for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Paul Taylor* and Aaron Cowley* with a pair of goals each, Dave Haas and Martin Carter* each tallying single markers. Stacy Mathieson* and Brent Snyder* each added two assists. Goaltender Mark Flath* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the win, the Melrose Cafe improve to 12-4-4-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 9-11-0-0.
