Calgary, AB – Jeff Metzger* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help bring the Grasshoppers to a 9-3 route over the Rustlers at Ernie Starr on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Grasshoppers was Sebastien Gregoire* and Matthew Goddard* with a pair of goals each and Matt Gutfriend and Mark Dyer* chipping in with singles. Andy Walsh* added three assists and Adam Danyleko* added two assists. Goaltender Lesley Reddon* picked up the victory for the Grasshoppers giving up three goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Rustlers was Nic Darling* with two goals and Graham Todd with a single marker. RJ Zeniuk* added two assists. Goaltender Cam Goldade* surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Rustlers.

With the victory, the Grasshoppers improve to 2-2-0-0 while the Rustlers fall to 0-4-0-0.
