Calgary, AB – Ian Mandry* scored two goals and added an assist to help lift the Sofa Kings to a 7-1 pounding over the Warthogs at George Blundun on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Sofa Kings was Trevor Burke * with two goals and Brandon Long*, Brian Ceelen and Dave Marttila each adding single goals. Long* added three assists and Geoff DaSilva added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * picked up the victory for the Sofa Kings holding the Warthogs to a single goal.

Scoring the only marker for the Warthogs was and Zach Fischer, his first of the playoffs. Goaltender Shaun McKenzie* surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Warthogs.

With the victory, the Sofa Kings improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Warthogs fall to 2-2-0-0.

UP NEXT: The Sofa Kings are back at it on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 4:15 PM at Optimist when they battle the Buffaloes. The Warthogs have no more games on the Playoffs 2017 schedule.
