Bursey nets hat-trick, Da Byes conquer Team Players
Calgary, AB – Colin Wandfluh scored his sixth goal of the season with 7:20 remaining in the third period and John Bursey scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help the Da Byes to a 5-4 win over Team Players at Optimist on Sunday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Da Byes was Tyler Dyck with a single tally. Adam Johnson* added three assists. Goaltender Brent Williams* picked up the win for the Da Byes giving up four goals.
The victory extinguished the Da Byes' seven-game losing streak.
Striking for Team Players was Steve Penway with two goals and Alex Sheppard and Alex Hustad each adding a goal. Josh Smyth and Leighten McDaid each added two assists. Goaltender Todd Lafontaine surrendered five goals in the loss for Team Players.
With the win, the Da Byes improve to 8-15-2-0 while Team Players fall to 14-10-1-0.
