Calgary, AB – Jared vanRee* scored four goals including his ninth goal of the season with 7:07 remaining in the third period and and added an assist to help bring the D5 Ducks erased a three-goal deficit and to an 8-7 triumph over the Da Byes at Optimist on Saturday.

Completing the scoring for for the D5 Ducks was Marc Young* with two goals, Eric Miller* and Evan Anthony* chipping in with singles. Rockson Yoo* added three assists, Young* and Dan Arnold* each added two assists. Goaltender Brad Kuzmick* picked up the victory for the D5 Ducks giving up seven goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Da Byes was Joel Barrett* with a hat-trick, Brandon Tkachuk with two goals and Glenn Saunders* and Bryce Perpolitz* each contributing with single markers. Saunders* added four assists and Barrett* added two assists. Goaltender Tommy Johnson surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Da Byes.

The D5 Ducks jumped out to a 7-4 lead when Young* scored his 15th of the season with 14:07 left in the third period but Barrett* responded for the Da Byes with his ninth of the season to start the rally.

With the victory, the D5 Ducks improve to 7-14-2-0 while the Da Byes fall to 7-14-2-0.
