Calgary, AB – Jon Verhelp scored a hat-trick including his seventh goal of the season with 0:14 remaining in the third period and to help support the Flying Hellfish in a 6-5 victory over the Ringers at Norma Bush on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Flying Hellfish was Kevin Macedo* and Nic Verhulp* and Vince Niro* with a goal each. Niro*, Macedo*, Verhulp*, Steve Kendrick* and Chris Machnee* each added two assists. Goaltender Lorne Green* picked up the victory for the Flying Hellfish giving up five goals.

The victory extinguished the Flying Hellfish's five-game losing streak.

Providing the offence for the Ringers was Michael Fossheim with two goals and Mathew Ryan, Carlo De Rose and Jordan Moe each contributing with single markers. Goaltender Steve Ridley surrendered six goals in the loss for the Ringers.

With the victory, the Flying Hellfish improve to 12-11-4-0 while the Ringers fall to 3-17-5-0.
