Calgary, AB – Matt Hamilton scored his fifth goal of the season with 5:48 remaining in the third period and Ash Johnson* scored two goals and added an assist to lift the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 6-5 conquest over the Chevron at Stew Hendry on Wednesday.

Capping off the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andy Keats*. John Doyle*, Stacy Mathieson* and Scott Bishop each added two assists. Goaltender Adam Burton* picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Sniping for the Chevron was Scott Sharp* and Dave Cadrin* with a pair of goals each and Ron Bellis* with a single tally. Sharp* added two assists. Goaltender Darrell Gall* surrendered six goals in the loss for the Chevron.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 1-1-1-0 while the Chevron fall to 1-2-0-0.
