Calgary, AB – Jared vanRee* scored a hat-trick and added three assists to help fuel the D5 Ducks to an 11-5 pounding over Team Players at Village Square on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the D5 Ducks was Dan Arnold* with a hat-trick, Dan Fulmore* with two goals, Marc Young* and Klay Kachur* and Eric Miller* with a goal each. vanRee*, Frank Gzenda* and Evan Anthony* each added three assists, Arnold* and Young* each added two assists. Goaltender Adam Griffith picked up the win for the D5 Ducks giving up five goals.

Striking for Team Players was Josh Smyth with two goals and Ryan Arnold, Leighten McDaid and Brandon Luong chipping in with a goal each. Arnold added three assists. Goaltender Adam Melon surrendered 11 goals in the loss for Team Players.

With the win, the D5 Ducks improve to 8-14-2-0 while Team Players fall to 14-9-1-0.
