Calgary, AB – Brad Slomp* scored his 17th goal of the season with 1:22 remaining in the third period and Gordon Rausch scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help support the Hopewell Hurricanes in a 6-5 victory over the Tailgaters at Village Square on Friday.

Adding markers for the Hopewell Hurricanes was and Matt Thibault* with a single marker. Thibault* and Andy Keats* each added two assists. Goaltender Paul Simon* picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Providing the offence for the Tailgaters was Brian Hogg* with two goals and Lance Nixon*, Ben Bleakley* and Rusty Jenner* with a goal each. Shawn Karaki* added three assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison* surrendered six goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 9-6-3-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 10-8-0-0.
