Calgary, AB – Casey Bajnok* scored five goals and added an assist to help support the Chevron in a 12-5 spanking over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Optimist on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Chevron was Patrick Pinder with two goals, Mike Prins* and Tim Begalke*, Pierre Turcotte*, Kyle Myden* and Darrell Gall* with a goal each. Prins* added three assists, Pinder, Begalke* and Josh Collier* each added two assists. Goaltender Darrell Gall* picked up the victory for the Chevron giving up five goals.

The victory extinguished the Chevron's 11-game losing streak.

Scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Aaron Cowley with four strikes and Andy Keats* with a single marker. Matt VanLauwe, John Doyle* and Preston Yachimec* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* surrendered 12 goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the victory, the Chevron improve to 4-13-0-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 8-6-3-0.
