Calgary, AB – Jordan Thornley* scored his fifth goal of the season with 8:43 remaining in the second period and Jared Veness* scored two goals to help the Warthogs to a 4-3 win over the Buffaloes at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Warthogs was . Derek Root* added two assists. Goaltender Shaun McKenzie* picked up the win for the Warthogs giving up three goals.

Striking for the Buffaloes was Matt Acker* with two goals and Ray Drake* with a single marker. John Page* added two assists. Goaltender Jon Kalkman* surrendered four goals in the loss for the Buffaloes.

With the win, the Warthogs improve to 1-7-3-0 while the Buffaloes fall to 6-4-1-0.
