Calgary, AB – Derek Boeckx* scored two goals and added two assists to help lift the Knights to an 8-5 victory over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Village Square on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Knights was Kevin Mullie* with two goals and Austin Sedgwick, Darren Tallas, Mike Cundall and Eric Chan each adding single goals. Sedgwick added three assists, Boeckx*, Tallas, Dave Holden and Andrew Nicol each added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Sedgwick* picked up the victory for the Knights giving up five goals.

The victory extinguished the Knights' three-game losing streak.

Scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Andy Keats* and Steve Tolhurst* with a pair of goals each and Tony Wyllie with a single marker. Brad Slomp* added three assists. Goaltender Steve Tolhurst* surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the victory, the Knights improve to 7-20-3-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 12-14-4-0.
