Calgary, AB – Andy Keats* scored two goals and added an assist as the Hopewell Hurricanes extended its winning streak to four games with a 7-4 victory over the Slashers at George Blundun on Saturday.

Adding markers for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Scott Bishop* with two goals and Brad Slomp, Tarian Mathews and Stacy Mathieson* with a goal each. Slomp added four assists, Mike L. and Barry Tanguay* each added two assists. Goaltender Jay Greening picked up the victory for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up four goals.

Providing the offence for the Slashers was Mike Belanger* and Jarrett Burke* with a pair of goals each. Mike Ladobruk* added two assists. Goaltender Sean Garvey* surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Slashers.

The loss snuffed out the Slashers' three-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 12-18-2-0 while the Slashers fall to 13-16-3-0.
