MacDonald* scores twice, IceCats rally to better Chevron
Calgary, AB – Tyson MacDonald* scored two goals and added two assists to help support the IceCats erased a three-goal deficit and in a 9-6 victory over the Chevron at Stew Hendry on Sunday.
Adding markers for the IceCats was Reggie Lang* with two goals and Doug Howland*, Nik Cooper*, Colin Dyck*, Greg Fitzpatrick* and Rob Walker* each with single strikes. Howland* added three assists, Cooper*, Dyck*. Goaltender Larry Guilloux* picked up the victory for the IceCats giving up six goals.
Scoring for the Chevron was Kim Smith* and Lee Nickel* with a pair of goals each, Dave Cadrin* and TJ Mikuska* with a goal each. Robert LeBlanc* added three assists and Scott Sharp* added two assists. Goaltender Darrell Gall* surrendered nine goals in the loss for the Chevron.
The Chevron jumped out to a 4-1 lead when Smith* scored his 11th of the season with 13:56 left in the second period but MacDonald* responded for the IceCats with his 13th of the season to start the rally.
With the victory, the IceCats improve to 18-7-5-0 while the Chevron fall to 11-19-1-0.
