Komisar nets hat-trick, Thunder overwhelm Schooners
Calgary, AB – Mark Komisar scored a hat-trick and added two assists to lift the Thunder to a 13-2 clobbering over the Schooners at Optimist on Sunday.
Capping off the scoring for the Thunder was Aaron Yamniuk, Greg Varga and Tim Arnett and Allan Bianchini with a pair of goals each, Brad Haley and Dave Morris contributing with a goal each. Yamniuk added four assists, Varga, Haley, Darren Jones and Chris Gibson each added three assists. Goaltender Leo Thoms picked up the win for the Thunder giving up two goals.
Sniping for the Schooners was John Macinnis and Mathew Chisholm each tallying single markers. Rob Slivinski added two assists. Goaltender Jimmy Farrell surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Schooners.
With the win, the Thunder improve to 4-1-0-0 while the Schooners fall to 3-2-0-0.
