Barrett* strikes twice, Da Byes mount comeback to squeak past Calgary Hogs

Calgary, AB – Joel Barrett* scored two goals as the Da Byes erased a three-goal deficit and extended their winning streak to seven games with a 6-4 conquest over the Calgary Hogs at Frank McCool on Tuesday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Da Byes was Nick Palmer* and COlten Hayes, Brad Stebner* and Jason Smith* chipping in with a goal each. Palmer* added two assists. Goaltender Brent Williams* picked up the win for the Da Byes giving up four goals.

Cashing in for the Calgary Hogs was Tyler Kushniruk*, Wade Hein*, Taylor Flemming* and Brett Chapman each adding single tallies. Goaltender Wes Raabis* surrendered six goals in the loss for the Calgary Hogs.

The Calgary Hogs jumped out to a 4-1 lead when Hein* scored his 10th of the season with 15:13 left in the second period but Barrett* responded for the Da Byes with his sixth of the season to start the rally.

With the win, the Da Byes improve to 20-7-0-0 while the Calgary Hogs fall to 18-5-3-0.
