Calgary, AB – Trevor Chown scored a hat-trick and added two assists to fuel the Tailgaters to an 11-3 thrashing over the Schooners at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the Tailgaters was Chris Legrow* and Tristan Janusc*, Matt Dawe*, Ryan Bohay*, Mark Oakley*, Ben Bleakley*, Brian Hogg* and Lance Nixon* each tallying single markers. Legrow* and Derek Sharp* each added three assists, Chown, Dawe* and Janusc* each added two assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison* picked up the win for the Tailgaters giving up three goals.

The victory extinguished the Tailgaters' three-game losing streak.

Finding the twine for the Schooners was Greg Walker* with two goals and Dennis Holder* with a single marker. Steve MacIsaac* and Wade Snook each added two assists. Goaltender Brad Lowe surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Schooners.

With the win, the Tailgaters improve to 6-9-3-0 while the Schooners fall to 10-6-2-0.
