Calgary, AB – Mike Belanger* scored two goals and added two assists as the Slashers extended its winning streak to three games with a 10-5 throttling over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Frank McCool on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Slashers was Ryan Tuck* with two goals and Brad Kingsmith*, Chris Roa-Yaremkowycz*, Sean Garvey*, David Gyger*, Dave Foss* and Mike Paynter* each adding single tallies. Kingsmith* added three assists, Belanger*, Roa-Yaremkowycz* and Steve Fodchuk* each added two assists. Goaltender Sean Garvey* picked up the win for the Slashers giving up five goals.

Cashing in for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Aaron Cowley* with two goals and Andy Keats*, Barry Tanguay* and Paul Taylor chipping in with a goal each. Keats* added two assists. Goaltender Jay Greening surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the win, the Slashers improve to 4-6-1-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 1-10-0-0.
