Calgary, AB – Garrett Goodbrand scored a hat-trick and added an assist to lead Team Players to an 8-4 whipping over the Leftovers at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for Team Players was Josh Smyth and Trevor Croft with a pair of goals each and Paul Porier with a single marker. Porier added three assists, Smyth, Kelly Robinson and Greg Pejic each added two assists. Goaltender Jeff Payne picked up the victory for Team Players giving up four goals.

Finding the twine for the Leftovers was Colin Baillargeon with two goals and Mike Lamborn and Russ Bray each tallying single markers. Goaltender Matt Barnham surrendered eight goals in the loss for the Leftovers.

With the victory, Team Players improve to 3-3-0-0 while the Leftovers fall to 0-6-0-0.
