Calgary, AB – Launey Newell scored his first goal of the season with 7:48 remaining in the third period and Andy Williamson* scored two goals to lead the Knights to a 4-3 triumph over the Slashers at Southland on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Knights was Seward Pon with a single marker. Shawn Calafatis* added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Sedgwick* picked up the victory for the Knights giving up three goals.

Finding the back of the net for the Slashers was Aaron Young, Jarrett Burke* and Mike Ladobruk* chipping in with singles. Goaltender Sean Garvey* surrendered four goals in the loss for the Slashers.

With the victory, the Knights improve to 1-1-0-0 while the Slashers fall to 0-1-1-0.
