Calgary, AB – Daniel Rieder scored a hat-trick and added two assists to fuel the Blazers to a 13-5 thrashing over the Tailgaters at Max Bell #1 on Monday.

Capping off the scoring for the Blazers was Braeden Klaver with a hat-trick, Travis Rohl and Brent Robinson with a pair of goals each and Aaron Mckay, Mark Jones* and David Shepherd* chipping in with a goal each. Mckay added four assists, Jones* added three assists, Rohl, Peter Jones, Justin Lafferty*. Goaltender Stefan Migotti picked up the win for the Blazers giving up five goals.

Finding the twine for the Tailgaters was Brian Hogg* with two goals and Tristan Janusc*, Ben Bleakley* and Dan Paulucci each tallying single markers. Janusc* added two assists. Goaltender Todd Bettison* surrendered 13 goals in the loss for the Tailgaters.

With the win, the Blazers improve to 1-0-0-0 while the Tailgaters fall to 0-1-0-0.
