Calgary, AB – Riley Hicks scored four goals and added an assist to guide the Sleeman Brewers to a 10-7 conquest over the x - Lions at Optimist on Saturday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Sleeman Brewers was Brendan Fowler and James Hirsch with a pair of goals each and Jared Dougherty and Brad Bennett chipping in with a goal each. Louis Basque* and JJ Vanderstam each added three assists, Dougherty and Owen Strychun each added two assists. Goaltender Brett Walker picked up the win for the Sleeman Brewers giving up seven goals.

Cashing in for the x - Lions was Joey Wenig with a hat-trick, Russell Marjerrison with two goals and Kylan Falk and Tommy Hrazdira each adding single tallies. Dan Franks and Colin Pouliot each added three assists, Falk and Jeff Arnold each added two assists. Goaltender Clinton Mawhinney surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the x - Lions.

With the win, the Sleeman Brewers improve to 2-8-1-0 while the x - Lions fall to 2-9-0-0.
