Calgary, AB – Richard Smythe* scored five goals to help secure the Sofa Kings a victory in an 11-6 trouncing over the xy - The Swarm at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Completing the scoring for for the Sofa Kings was Geoff DaSilva with two goals, Kevin Sawyer * and Lyle Armitage *, Jesse Louden* and Brent Batushski * with a goal each. Sawyer *, Armitage *, Louden* and Rory Dawson * each added two assists. Goaltender Nico Vandersalm * picked up the victory for the Sofa Kings giving up six goals.

Providing the offence for the xy - The Swarm was Devin Affonso with a hat-trick and Ryan Popilchak , Jim Vasilopoulos and Curtis Cann* each contributing with single markers. Jamey Dels added two assists. Goaltender Kelly Oberg surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the xy - The Swarm.

The loss snuffed out the xy - The Swarm's three-game winning streak.

With the victory, the Sofa Kings improve to 6-19-5-0 while the xy - The Swarm fall to 18-11-1-0.
