Calgary, AB – Colin Hughes* scored a hat-trick and added an assist to help the x - Grasshoppers to a 9-7 win over the x - Flying Hellfish at Optimist on Saturday.

Also scoring for the x - Grasshoppers was Andrew Hughes with two goals, Kirk Hildebrandt and Andy Walsh*, Jeff Metzger* and Lance Davidson* each adding a goal. Hughes added three assists, Hildebrandt, Gord Edwards* and Duane Smith* each added two assists. Goaltender Dan Oxton picked up the win for the x - Grasshoppers giving up seven goals.

Lighting the lamp for the x - Flying Hellfish was Z Carter with a hat-trick and Scott Phillips, Ryan Lister, Mel Linn* and Bryce Roessmer with a goal each. Phillips and Lister each added three assists and Carter added two assists. Goaltender Darryle Leray surrendered nine goals in the loss for the x - Flying Hellfish.

The setback halted the x - Flying Hellfish's four-game winning streak.

With the win, the x - Grasshoppers improve to 10-14-6-0 while the x - Flying Hellfish fall to 15-10-4-0.
