Calgary, AB – Fraser Grant scored a hat-trick including his fourth goal of the season with 7:06 remaining in the third period and and added four assists to help support the Rustlers in a 9-8 victory over the x - Lions at Frank McCool on Tuesday.

Adding markers for the Rustlers was Nick Darling and Gregg Moore, RJ Zeniuk, Brad Hart, Conrad Kay and Mitchell Grant with a goal each. Darling added three assists. Goaltender Connie Craig picked up the victory for the Rustlers giving up eight goals.

Providing the offence for the x - Lions was Brenden Soley with a hat-trick, Dan Franks with two goals and Colin Pouliot, Paul Stasiewich and Mike Woychyshyn each with single strikes. Soley added two assists. Goaltender Clinton Mawhinney surrendered nine goals in the loss for the x - Lions.

With the victory, the Rustlers improve to 1-2-2-0 while the x - Lions fall to 1-4-0-0.
