Calgary, AB – Steve Nemeth* scored his seventh goal of the season with 0:49 remaining in the third period and Scott Bishop* scored a hat-trick and added three assists to help secure the xy - Hopewell Hurricanes a victory in a 6-5 victory over the Schooners at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Adding markers for the xy - Hopewell Hurricanes was and Andy Keats* with a single tally. Keats* added four assists, Bishop* added three assists. Goaltender Dave Garcia* picked up the victory for the xy - Hopewell Hurricanes giving up five goals.

Providing the offence for the Schooners was Wade Snook with two goals and Darren MacIsaac, Dennis Holder* and Jeff Campbell* each contributing with single markers. Danny White*, Jamie Prior* and Steve Whitehead* each added two assists. Goaltender Jimmy Farrell* surrendered six goals in the loss for the Schooners.

With the victory, the xy - Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 4-1-0-0 while the Schooners fall to 1-4-0-0.
