Calgary, AB – Dan Franks scored four goals including his 16th goal of the season with 1:00 remaining in the third period and and added two assists to guide the x - Lions to a 10-9 conquest over the Sleeman Brewers at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the x - Lions was Brenden Soley with two goals, Paul Stasiewich and Glen Taylor, Tommy Hrazdira and Kylan Falk each adding single tallies. Soley added four assists, Joey Wenig. Goaltender Clinton Mawhinney picked up the win for the x - Lions giving up nine goals.

Cashing in for the Sleeman Brewers was Brendan Fowler with five goals and James Hirsch, Gilles Hickey, Baron Ellis and JJ Vanderstam chipping in with a goal each. Louis Basque* added four assists, Peter Dmytruk* added three assists, Hirsch and Garrett Hamilton* each added two assists. Goaltender Baron Ellis surrendered 10 goals in the loss for the Sleeman Brewers.

With the win, the x - Lions improve to 7-16-3-0 while the Sleeman Brewers fall to 7-17-1-0.
