Calgary, AB – Colin Hughes* scored two goals as the Grasshoppers extended their winning streak to three games with a 4-2 conquest over the Sofa Kings at Optimist on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Grasshoppers was Lance Davidson* and Sean Murray* contributing with a goal each. Mark Dyer* added two assists. Goaltender Josh Kolba picked up the win for the Grasshoppers giving up two goals.

Cashing in for the Sofa Kings was Mike Tyrrell* and Jake Vanenbrooke each adding single tallies. Goaltender Connie Craig surrendered four goals in the loss for the Sofa Kings.

The setback halted the Sofa Kings' three-game winning streak.

With the win, the Grasshoppers improve to 5-13-3-0 while the Sofa Kings fall to 9-11-1-0.
