Calgary, AB – M Gruber scored two goals and added an assist to spark the NorthStars to a 7-5 win over the Warthogs at Optimist on Saturday.

Also scoring for the NorthStars was Cody Connor with two goals and Mitch Rabbit, Josh Yuill and Brandon Luong* each adding a goal. Mike Anderson* and Shane Loewenberger* each added two assists. Goaltender Sean Garvey picked up the victory for the NorthStars giving up five goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Warthogs was Jordan Thornley with two goals and Mario A'Bella, Lauren Davis* and Jared Veness* each adding single goals. Jarrod Stanton* added two assists. Goaltender Cameron Reid surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Warthogs.

With the victory, the NorthStars improve to 5-13-3-0 while the Warthogs fall to 9-9-3-0.
