Calgary, AB – Mike Donaleshen* scored four goals and added three assists to spark the Flying Elbows to an 11-8 win over the Hopewell Hurricanes at Optimist on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Flying Elbows was Steve Nadeau* and Chris Goodau with a pair of goals each and Shane Mark*, Colin Oke* and Joe McCormick* each adding single goals. Nadeau* and Goodau each added five assists, Donaleshen* added three assists, Chris Trudel* and Steve Tuckey* each added two assists. Goaltender Hakan Drinnan picked up the win for the Flying Elbows giving up eight goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Hopewell Hurricanes was Aaron Cowley* with a hat-trick, Brad Slomp and John Doyle* with a pair of goals each and Ross Keily* with a single marker. Barry Tanguay* and Stacy Mathieson* each added two assists. Goaltender Dave Garcia* surrendered 11 goals in the loss for the Hopewell Hurricanes.

With the win, the Flying Elbows improve to 9-7-4-0 while the Hopewell Hurricanes fall to 8-10-2-0.
