Calgary, AB – Scott Swan scored a hat-trick to lead the NorthStars to a 5-2 triumph over the Flying Hellfish at Optimist on Saturday.

Capping off the scoring for the NorthStars was Sean Waeyen* and Jay Milz* chipping in with a goal each. Waeyen* and Milz* each added three assists and Ryan Campbell* added two assists. Goaltender Randy St.Cyr picked up the victory for the NorthStars giving up two goals.

The win snapped the NorthStars' four-game losing skid.

Finding the twine for the Flying Hellfish was Mel Linn* and Chris Machnee each tallying single markers. Goaltender Rick Krahn surrendered five goals in the loss for the Flying Hellfish.

With the victory, the NorthStars improve to 3-10-2-0 while the Flying Hellfish fall to 3-8-4-0.
