Calgary, AB – Jason Martschuk* scored two goals to help fuel the Panthers to a 7-3 pounding over the Pirates at Henry Viney on Tuesday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Panthers was Mike Juhasz* and Mike Tucker*, Ying Yuen*, Ken Kornylo* and Andrew Fox* chipping in with a goal each. Juhasz* added three assists and Murray Quibell* added two assists. Goaltender Doug Lavers picked up the win for the Panthers giving up 0 goals.

Striking for the Pirates was Mark Giddens*, Tim Cross* and Gary Smyth* with a goal each. Goaltender Rick Windl* surrendered seven goals in the loss for the Pirates.

With the win, the Panthers improve to 2-0-0-0 while the Pirates fall to 0-1-0-0.
