Calgary, AB – Keith McLarty scored a hat-trick and added three assists to fuel the Melrose to a 9-5 thrashing over the Old Time Flyers at Ernie Starr on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Melrose was Jeff Golby and Simon DiMarzo with a pair of goals each and Colin Pekrul and Russel Deacon contributing with a goal each. Golby, Pekrul and Neelan Edbom each added two assists. Goaltender Quinn Morettin picked up the win for the Melrose giving up 0 goals.

Sniping for the Old Time Flyers was Wayne Merkel, Tom Mullane, Kevin Murray, Glenn Hamilton and John Leach each tallying single markers. Goaltender Greg Fox surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Old Time Flyers.

With the win, the Melrose improve to 2-2-0-0 while the Old Time Flyers fall to 1-3-0-0.
