Smith* scores two, Da Byes conquer Southern Alberta Bears
Calgary, AB – Jason Smith* scored two goals to help the Da Byes to an 8-6 win over the Southern Alberta Bears at Frank McCool on Tuesday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Da Byes was Ricardo Piscitelli* and Joel Barrett, Geoff Moggy*, Justin Furlong*, Glenn Saunders* and Derek Endicott each adding a goal. Piscitelli*, Barrett and Blair Neil* each added two assists. Goaltender Brent Williams* picked up the win for the Da Byes giving up six goals.
Striking for the Southern Alberta Bears was Kirk Sproule* with a hat-trick, Bravin Bosch* with two goals and Adam Nerland with a single tally. Bosch* and Troy Miller* each added two assists. Goaltender Chris Sands surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Southern Alberta Bears.
With the win, the Da Byes improve to 18-6-4-0 while the Southern Alberta Bears fall to 13-12-5-0.
