Calgary, AB – Brandon Kushniruk* scored a hat-trick and added four assists as the Calgary Hogs extended its winning streak to three games with a 12-8 spanking over the Grasshoppers at Stew Hendry on Sunday.

Also scoring for the Calgary Hogs was Kevin Free* with a hat-trick, Tyler Kushniruk* and Chris Mills* with a pair of goals each and Jody Pederson* and Shawn Zenuk* each adding a goal. Kushniruk* and Pederson* each added three assists, Free*, Mills*, Tim Norick* and Justin Morgan* each added two assists. Goaltender Steve Tansowny* picked up the win for the Calgary Hogs giving up eight goals.

Lighting the lamp for the Grasshoppers was Duane Smith* and Morgan Rudiger with a pair of goals each, Sean Murray, Kevin Lodberg*, Gord Edwards* and Jeff Barnes* with a goal each. Smith*, Bob Storrs and Ben Couzens each added two assists. Goaltender Trevor Devenich* surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Grasshoppers.

The setback halted the Grasshoppers' three-game winning streak.

With the win, the Calgary Hogs improve to 18-3-3-0 while the Grasshoppers fall to 11-11-4-0.
