Nemeth* nets hat-trick, Hopewell Hurricanes overwhelm Calgary Pylons

Calgary, AB – Steve Nemeth* scored a hat-trick and added two assists to lift the Hopewell Hurricanes to a 12-2 clobbering over the Calgary Pylons at Optimist on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Hopewell Hurricanes was B Wasylyk with a hat-trick, Geza Nemeth* and Tyler Jackson* with a pair of goals each and Scott Bishop* and Andy Keats* each tallying single markers. Bishop* added five assists, Nemeth* added four assists, Wasylyk, Nemeth*, Jackson*, Keats* and Jason Downey* each added two assists. Goaltender Karri Humble* picked up the win for the Hopewell Hurricanes giving up 0 goals.

Sniping for the Calgary Pylons was Matt Vanderkooy* and Jamie Marino* contributing with a goal each. Goaltender Chris Saville surrendered 0 goals in the loss for the Calgary Pylons.

With the win, the Hopewell Hurricanes improve to 7-3-4-0 while the Calgary Pylons fall to 5-8-0-0.
